Militar do Corpo de Bombeiros de Minas Gerais (CBMMG) integra comitiva brasileira de missão de assistência humanitária enviada à República Cooperativa da Guiana pelo Governo Federal, por meio da Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (ABC), do Ministério das Relações Exteriores. O país Sul-Americano tem enfrentado incêndios de grandes proporções nas últimas semanas. 

Os militares brasileiros terão a missão de realizar avaliação conjunta da situação atual em que se encontram diversas regiões afetadas pelos incêndios. 

A comitiva brasileira desembarcou na cidade de Lethem, onde já se reuniu com as autoridades guianenses e seguirá em missão pelo menos até a segunda-feira (29/4), prazo que pode se estender para até 21 dias.

Especialistas em combate a incêndios

Entre os militares destacados, o  tenente Júlio Hermínio Caldeira Brant Neto, do CBMMG, integra a equipe de especialistas em combate a incêndios florestais, também das corporações do Distrito Federal e dos estados de Roraima e Amazonas.

É a primeira missão internacional do tenente, que é técnico em Emergências Médicas Instrutor e especializado em Proteção e Defesa Civil. 

Experiência

Essa é quinta vez que o Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Minas Gerais colabora no cenário internacional de ajuda humanitária em países que foram assolados por desastres naturais, contribuindo para o propósito de salvar e valorizar vidas. 

No histórico do CBMMG estão listadas missões em Moçambique, Haiti, Turquia e Canadá.
