A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Mobilidade (Semob), colocou em funcionamento, na tarde desta quinta-feira (2), novos conjunto semafóricos na Avenida Armando Pannunzio, no Zona Oeste da cidade. Também houve alterações de tráfego nessa região e revitalização da sinalização de trânsito, para otimizar o fluxo de veículos, sobretudo devido à entrada em funcionamento do Terminal BRT Ipiranga, nos próximos dias.
Os dispositivos estão localizados na interseção da Avenida Dr. Armando Pannunzio, com a Rua Salvador Milego e a Rua Inglaterra, assim como entre a Av. Dr. Armando Pannunzi0, a Rua Içara e a Rua São Marino. Os locais estão devidamente sinalizados e monitorados por agentes de trânsito, que também orientam os motoristas.
As alterações viárias estão a cargo de parceria com a empresa BRT Sorocaba. Com as mudanças, quem transita pela Rua Salvador Milego terá acesso direto à Avenida Armando Pannunzio, em sentido à Rodovia Raposo Tavares. Se o objetivo é seguir em direção ao Centro, essa conversão direta não será mais possível. O novo trajeto será acessar a Av. Luís Mendes de Almeida e depois fazer o retorno de quadra, pela Rua Içara (Jardim Vera Cruz).
Para quem está na Av. Armando Pannunzio, a conversão para acessar a Rua Salvador Milego será proibida. O motorista terá que acessar à direta na Rua São Marino (Jardim Europa), depois a Rua Inglaterra, até a Praça Oxford, para cruzara avenida e, então, ingressar na Rua Salvador Milego, com destino à região do bairro Central Parque.
A recomendação da Semob é que aos motoristas redobrem a atenção aos novos dispositivos implantados nesses pontos da cidade, bem como às Mudanças de sentido nas vias indicadas.
