Começou, nesta sexta-feira (3), a programação do São João Multicultural 2024 de João Pessoa, com apresentação de cordelistas no Polo Tambaú, no Busto de Tamandaré. O evento segue até o dia 26 de junho com uma agenda especial de shows com grandes artistas como Elba Ramalho, Tom Oliveira, Eliane, Banda Magníficos, entre outros. No primeiro dia da festa, turistas, cordelistas e moradores que passavam pela orla da Capital aprovaram o calendário da festa, que inclui, ainda, um Circuito Junino para apresentação e Festival de Quadrilhas e polos em diversos bairros, a exemplo do Centro Histórico, Lagoa e Tambaú.
Yam Pontes, chefe de Divisão de Literatura da Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope), ressaltou que o evento com os cordelistas tem o objetivo de fomentar a Literatura de Cordel e a cultura popular como um todo. “E, através do São João, criar uma grande programação para que as pessoas possam também tomar conhecimento da riqueza que é a cultura popular paraibana e pessoense. E aí a gente vai ter [na programação] tanto cordéis, como declamações de poetas e, também, trios pé de serra aos sábados”, informou.
A partir de agora, todas as sextas-feiras e sábados serão para o público apreciar a programação do São João Multicultural 2024 na praia, isso a partir das 17h. “O turista ou pessoense que vier para a orla nesses dias pode esperar muita cultura e muita animação também. A gente tem uma programação vasta durante o mês de maio por inteiro. E os turistas estão convidados e os pessoenses também para se enriquecer cada vez mais de cultura da nossa cidade. Aqui temos diversos poetas e cordelistas participando da feira. E é uma tradição nossa, da Funjope, trazer a Feira de Cordel, já é a nossa terceira feira. E a gente vai dar continuidade tanto no primeiro semestre através de São João, como também tem um evento maior para o segundo semestre, com a participação dos cordelistas também”, destacou Yam Pontes.
A vice-presidente da Academia de Cordel do Vale do Paraíba, Claudete Gomes, referendou o evento que, para ela, enaltece a cultura popular. “Um evento como esse acaba sendo de suma importância, porque dá mais visibilidade ainda a todo esse trabalho. Há cordelistas e cordelistas declamadores. Então, quando a gente tem a possibilidade, não só de mostrar o folheto, mas também de declamar, as pessoas acabam se encantando, porque é um universo predominantemente masculino. A gente está cada vez mais fomentando, dando a possibilidade das pessoas conhecerem um pouco mais. E a escrita feminina é tão valorizada e tão reconhecida com a mesma qualidade que seja de um escritor homem”, enfatizou.
O poeta e cordelista Merlânio Maia lembrou que o Cordel é uma criação genuinamente paraibana. “O Cordel nasceu na Paraíba. Nessa formatação de conteúdo, de contar histórias, de levar lazer, de informar, até alfabetizar nos sertões profundos, é nossa, é da Paraíba. E esse tipo de evento, que a Funjope fez, uma parceria com a gente, com a Academia do Cordel do Vale do Paraíba, possibilita tanto ao turista, como também à pessoa daqui, de João Pessoa, da Paraíba em si, de ter acesso a uma cultura que é sua, é uma cultura forte e poderosa”, pontou.
Marcela Lopes é artesã e produz xilogravuras. Para ela, a exposição de seus trabalhos em eventos como o São João Multicultural de João Pessoa é uma oportunidade ímpar. “É de grande importância expor nossos trabalhos, porque dá visibilidade, né? Colocar a arte da xilogravura para que as pessoas tenham um pouco de conhecimento como se dá, como se é desenhar na madeira, como é talhar, como é imprimir à mão, todo o processo criativo, expor em produtos, colocar em ímã, quadro, camisas. Então, assim, a expectativa é boa, a gente espera que tenha muitas vendas e que esse evento seja um sucesso. A gente está muito feliz em poder participar, expor nossos trabalhos aqui, e que a xilogravura seja cada vez mais divulgada no mundo inteiro”, colocou.
A professora Juliana Ferreira ia passando na orla quando viu a feira multicultural e se encantou com os cordéis estampados no local. “É tão importante! Eu, como professora, como pessoense, como paraibana, perceber e ver o trabalho da gente, porque isso é o que é o trabalho paraibano, na Literatura de Cordel, e assim eu tenho um olhar pela nossa produção de cordel, os nossos cordelistas, nossos artistas. Cheguei e comecei a conversar com eles e já pensando nas aulas que eu vou dar com o cordel. Então isso me chamou muita atenção, porque é uma literatura gama, é uma produção gama, que as crianças conseguem compreender, é uma linguagem que eles conseguem, vamos dizer assim, se aproximar à realidade deles, porque é da terra deles”, comemorou.
Quem também não resistiu e parou para ver toda a exposição foi a engenheira civil Glória Leite. “É muito positivo momentos como este. Espaços como esses deveriam se espalhar cada vez mais, porque é nossa cultura e é lindo demais”, falou.
Programação – No dia 11 de maio, no bairro José Américo, inicia a apresentação das quadrilhas juninas nos bairros. Já o Festival de Quadrilhas Juninas acontece de 10 a 13 de junho, na Arena Almeidão, com concurso das rainhas, casais de noivos e casais juninos. O Festival Estadual de Quadrilhas acontece de 15 a 18 de junho, também na Arena Almeidão, com concurso estadual das rainhas, casais de noivos e casais juninos.
Também haverá o Polo Feiras, com início no dia 14 de junho, no Mercado de Jaguaribe. No Parque Solon de Lucena, no Centro, grandes nomes do forró estarão se apresentando no palco a partir do dia 20 de junho.
